DESIGN APPROACH & PROCESS
The idea of the title "Healing Architecture" stemmed from my passion for designing space. I divided the book into chapters by: Architecture for the Good, Knowledge, Environment & Soul. Each category represents and shows how architecture impacts people. I researched architecture/interior/environmental pieces through ArchDaily, which has many articles showing the process and approach of why they wanted to create a certain home, hospital, church, or school.
I wanted to create a dynamic layout with typography and images, using large images on the right and a two-column grid, I was able to create a dynamic but simple layout. The content is easy to read with the sans serif typeface and the grid. The book is perfect bound, with a translucent vellum book jacket with die cuts and gold foil.
